Walk straight from the door
Set on the edge of woodland beneath the Stiperstones, Black Rhadley gives you the Shropshire Hills straight from the doorstep. Step onto the trail from the cabin and walk towards Nipstone Rock, Black Rhadley hill and the surrounding nature reserve, or simply sit out on the deck and listen to the woodland around you.
Outdoor wood-fired bath
Sink into the private wood-fired bath beneath open skies, with views towards the rocky tors of the Stiperstones. Stay out as darkness falls and, on a clear night, watch the stars appear above you. Afterwards, light the fire pit and settle in for an evening surrounded by woodland and very little else.
Sleep with a view
Tucked into a cosy sleeping nook, the king-size bed has a natural mattress, beautiful linen and a view worth waking up for. From bed, look out towards Nipstone Rock and the wild landscape beyond, morning mist, changing skies and sometimes wildlife passing by.
Natural inside and out
Inside, clean lines, warm tones and relaxed furnishings keep the focus on the landscape beyond. There’s a comfortable sitting area, dining space and breakfast bar, with woodland on one side and views towards the Stiperstones on the other. Everything has been considered to make the cabin feel calm, warm and easy to settle into.
Stay in for a while
There’s no need to fill every hour. Curl up on the sofa with a book, spread out a map and plan tomorrow’s walk, play a game or pick up the binoculars and see what’s moving through the woodland. With no TV and no Wi-Fi competing for your attention, sometimes the best thing to do at Black Rhadley is very little at all.
Just the two of you
Black Rhadley is the only cabin here. Set apart on the edge of the woodland, there are no neighbouring cabins or shared guest spaces, just your own place to settle into, with the Shropshire Hills around you.

The spacious bathroom has a generous rainfall shower, soft Piglet in Bed towels, waffle robes and natural, organic toiletries from Conscious Skincare, everything you need after a long walk in the hills or an evening beneath the stars.
Made for staying in
Black Rhadley is self-catering, with a well-equipped kitchen including a hob, convection microwave and everything you need for breakfasts, relaxed suppers and evenings spent in. Cook something simple, open a bottle of wine and settle in for the night.
Your morning coffee
Good coffee matters here. We provide good Coffee and an Opal coffee machine, so you can start the day properly, preferably slowly, with the doors open or looking out towards the hills.

Black Rhadley was designed for two, with comfort where it matters and the practical details taken care of. Warm, comfortable and completely self-contained, it’s a place where you can arrive, unpack and very quickly feel settled.
