🌿 A Little About Me
I’m Trish — creator of Heather and Stone, and the person who prepares Black Rhadley Cabin for every guest who arrives.
This space wasn’t created as a concept or a trend. It grew from my own need for quieter surroundings — and from an understanding that nature has a quiet, steady way of bringing us back to ourselves.
It also grew from my love of design and architecture, and from my love of art. I paint when I can, and landscape has always been my favourite subject. I’ve long been drawn to light, texture and the way thoughtful spaces influence how we feel.
I’m 54, with two grown-up children, a beautiful black and tan cocker spaniel, and a husband who has supported every stage of this journey. I was born abroad, and with a father in the forces we moved frequently when I was a child. Perhaps that early sense of living between places shaped my appreciation for belonging — and for creating somewhere that feels grounded ad special the way only nature can create.
I live just a short walk away and remain closely connected to the land here — keeping chickens, walking the hills and running the surrounding trails.
And if I’m honest, I’m not someone who naturally enjoys being in front of a camera — which probably explains why it has taken nearly two years to properly introduce myself. But Heather and Stone is personal, and it felt right that you should know the person behind it.
